Rhinestone & Hotfix Application
Hotfix applies stones to fabric using heat-activated adhesive. It is a fashion decoration that lives or dies on the setting quality — a stone that lifts after one wash turns a premium garment into a complaint. The adhesive, the heat and the pressure all have to be right.

Why stones fall off
Almost always the setting temperature or pressure, or the wrong adhesive for the fabric. Different fibres need different adhesive chemistry — a stone that bonds perfectly to cotton may not bond to a polyester blend at the same setting.
Transfers vs direct setting
A rhinestone transfer is produced as a sheet and pressed onto the garment as a unit, which gives consistent spacing across a run. Direct setting is more flexible for individual placements. For volume, transfers are the reliable route.
Care labelling matters
Hotfix stones should be washed inside out on a cool cycle and not tumble dried. Putting that on the care label is not a disclaimer — it is the difference between a garment that lasts and one that generates returns.
