Manufacturing Models & Sourcing Guides
The commercial side of sourcing from China: what OEM, ODM and private label actually mean in practice, what a realistic minimum order looks like, and how to vet a factory before you wire a deposit.

OEM, ODM or private label?
These three terms get used interchangeably in sourcing conversations, which causes real problems later. In practice: OEM means you bring a finished tech pack and we manufacture to it. ODM means you bring a reference garment or a concept and we develop the pattern and fabric. Private label describes the branding layer — our stock styles shipped under your label — which can sit on top of either.
The right route depends on how much of the design work you have already done. Sending a tech pack for a route that needs development wastes a sampling round, so it is worth being clear about this before the first quotation.
Which model suits your business?
Brands with their own designs usually start OEM. Brands with a look but no tech pack start ODM. Tell us where you are and we will point you at the right route.
