Low MOQ Clothing Manufacturer — From 500 pcs
Low MOQ is one of the most abused phrases in apparel sourcing. Every factory has a real minimum, and it is set by the fabric mill and the cutting table, not by marketing. We publish ours openly: 500 pcs per colourway. Below that we will tell you honestly that the unit price stops making sense.
Where a minimum order actually comes from
Two places: the fabric mill's minimum dye lot, and the setup cost of cutting and screen printing. A fabric mill will not dye 100 metres of a custom shade economically, and a screen print setup costs the same whether you print 200 or 2,000 pieces. That is why the minimum exists.
Where we can go lower
For stock fabrics and stock colours, quantities can be lower because there is no custom dye lot. If you need to test a market, starting on a stock fabric at a lower quantity is a legitimate way to do it.
What low MOQ costs you
A higher unit price, and that is honest arithmetic rather than a penalty. We show the setup costs separately in the quotation so you can see exactly what changes when your quantity goes up.
