Long Sleeve T-Shirt Manufacturer — Ribbed Cuff
A long sleeve T-shirt is where fit problems become visible. A short sleeve hides a lot; a long sleeve shows every miscalculation in sleeve length, cuff tension and the width of the sleeve opening. Cuff too tight and it grabs the wrist and rides up; too loose and it slides over the hand. Sleeve too long and it bunches at the elbow. We treat the cuff as its own component with its own specification, because that is where most long sleeve programmes fail.
Fabric weight and construction options
| Weight / type | Material | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| 160–180 gsm | Combed cotton jersey | Light layering piece, spring and autumn ranges |
| 180–220 gsm | Ring-spun, compacted cotton | Better shape at the cuff and hem |
| 220–260 gsm | Heavy jersey | Structured layering, stands alone as an outer piece |
| Rib knit | Matched 1x1 or 2x2 rib | For cuffs and neck — knit to match body shrinkage |
Available decoration methods
| Method | Specification | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Screen printing | 1–8 colours | Sleeve prints are common on long sleeve — make the placement explicit |
| Embroidery | Chest, sleeve or cuff | Cuff embroidery needs a low stitch count to avoid stiffness |
| DTG / DTF | Full colour, no minimum | Practical for layered graphics across body and sleeve |
| Puff print | Raised 3D | Works on the body panel; keep it off the narrow sleeve |
| Sleeve stripe / tape | Applied trim | Athletic and workwear crossover programmes |
