Oversized T-Shirt Manufacturer — Boxy & Drop-Shoulder
An oversized T-shirt is a different pattern, not a size larger. Taking a regular block and grading it up moves every seam at once and produces a garment that looks like a mistake — shoulders still narrow, hem still short, sleeves still tight. A true oversized cut is drafted from the start: the shoulder seam drops onto the upper arm, the body widens without getting longer, and the sleeve opening grows to match the dropped armhole. We draft that pattern with you and confirm it on a counter sample.
Fabric weight and construction options
| Weight / type | Material | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|
| 240–280 gsm | Heavy combed cotton jersey | The standard for boxy streetwear silhouettes |
| 280–320 gsm | Heavy loop-back | Structured, holds a wide body without collapsing |
| 200–240 gsm | Cotton–poly, garment-washed | Softer drape, vintage hand-feel, lower cost |
| Slub jersey | Cotton slub, 180–220 gsm | Textured surface, relaxed summer oversized |
Available decoration methods
| Method | Specification | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| Screen printing | Oversized chest or full back panel | The wide flat body gives room for large graphics |
| All-over / placement print | Beyond A3 | Boxy cuts carry full-front prints that a regular fit cannot |
| Puff print | Raised 3D logo | Common on streetwear drops; reads well on a 280 gsm face |
| Embroidery | Chest / sleeve / back | Watch the stitch count — a wide body needs a larger logo to stay in proportion |
| Woven patch / label | Hem or sleeve | Adds brand presence on an otherwise plain silhouette |
